Vimala convent was started at Thoppupalayam5 Kms away from Chennimalai town on 29th May 1985. The purpose of starting this convent is Evangelization and educating the ignorant people.The people there are Mail and Textile workers and agriculturists too, with no facility of schooling the children. At present ten sisters there teaching in Vimala Matri.Hr.Sec.School.
