Christhu Jyothi Convent is started on 10th June 1974 in a rented house. In 1974 June 10th  Christhu Jyothi School attached to the Convent was started. There was a hostel attached. Building was constructed in the newly bought site and convent with school was shifted to the new site. We started a Centre for the handicapped children on 5th Aug.1984. They are sent to different schools for studies. Type writing and tailoring centers are also attached. The main apostolate is education and Catechism. They also do parish work for other Centres.
